Summer Reading Club

Summer break is a time for children to relax and have fun, but it's also important to keep them reading. Strong literacy skills benefit all academic areas.

70% of elementary-aged children choose not to read for pleasure. Is your child one of them? If so, let Summer Reading Club make it happen! Our program offers captivating stories and engaging activities designed to boost children's interest in reading while keeping literacy skills sharp.

Don't let 2+ months of learning loss affect your child's progress. Start next school year with confidence!

Age Group: Rising 3rd and 4th graders

Each week, Middle EL students get a taste of a beloved novel via introductory chapters and animated discussions. Let's hook them onto a new favorite that they won't want to put down!

NOTE: If your rising 3rd grader is already a solid reader, this is the perfect club for them!

Theme: Short Stories

Age Group: Rising 5th and 6th graders

Upper EL students experience the wonderful world of short stories, a powerful genre that is sometimes overlooked. Readers are nudged to move beyond familiar graphic or fantasy novels into stories that challenge their worldview, place them in dynamic contexts, and get them thinking about important interpersonal questions.
